Hurricane Relief Updates - Paula White Ministries. Hurricane Irma ripped through the Southeast and right over our area in Central Florida. We have seen a lot of fear and uncertainty, a lot of damage, and a lot of people in need of help. But we have also seen a lot of hope at New Destiny Christian Center! We are supplying the area and will do so until we are fully rebuilt with much needed food, water and supplies.

Many grocery stores have bare shelves. We are working with our officials doing debris removal, renovations, repairs, food distribution, and anything else needed. The Mayor has identified us as “The Disaster Relief Center” for our community!! Wednesday we fed 4. We had 1. 11 volunteers assist on the property- and the love of God was here!!

We can really make a difference together, it is awesome!! Check out some of the photos here: There are still many that will be without electricity for some time and will be facing much more as we are rebuilding. We thank all of you for your prayers and your financial support! There is tornado damage to our property but we are most concerned for the people in our community!! I love our God and our church so much. We have teamed up with another ministry, Impact Church, to help thousands to put their lives back together! We are working with the Mayor, DCF, Second Harvest Food Bank, Duke Energy and more to serve hot meals, give supplies, coordinate, and more for the community!!

We can’t do it alone, but we CAN do this together!! We are so grateful for the safety and protection of those in our community, but the people need help, there is a lot ahead of us! We have mobilized our volunteers and staff who are working with the city for clean up right now- and God is faithful!! The first stop for the day began at the Taylor Apartments, a low income complex located in Apopka. Although the residents have had their power restored, New Destiny and partners wanted to bless them with hope. Tijuana Flats contacted New Destiny to see how they could partner with us to feed a community and the Taylor Apartments was a perfect fit. News spread and the residents were honored to have Senator Bill Nelson and Mayor Joe Kilsheimer there to help serve food to the residents.

From there the team went to Lake Jewell in Apopka. The residents in this underserved community have been without electricity for six days and as news swept through the streets, hundreds of residents came to our mobile food truck to receive water, juice, MRE’e (Meals Ready to Eat) and snacks. This forgotten community was overwhelmed with the love and very appreciative for the assistance. The day was not not as New Destiny partnered with a sister church from Huntington, West Virginia.
